Sjoerd Sijsma is a filmmaker. He is one of the co-founders of Voice4Thought and has been involved from the very beginning. For him, Voice4Thought was a great way to apply his years of experience in filmmaking—through his own video production company—in regions that interested him. Before founding his production company, Eyeses, in 2000, Sjoerd traveled the world (through India, Africa, and China), creating video content for various clients.
At Voice4Thought, Sjoerd has been dedicated to making documentaries, capturing events, and training young video reporters at the Voice4Thought Académie in Mali.
Both in his work and in his courses, Sjoerd focuses on the personal, the everyday, and the positive. He sees Voice4Thought as an organization that provides space beyond polarized thinking, allowing for a better understanding of polarization itself.
