Academic / professional background:
I have a degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, the Netherlands. After my studies I participated in numerous exhibitions before turning my attention to other projects, including painting sceneries for film, theatre and organizing festivals. My latest works of art explore the lone figure in landscapes in Africa (in Chad and Mali).
What does Voice4Thought mean to you?
Voice4Thought has opened a whole new world to me. In the last two years, I have met new and inspirational personalities who have challenged me in so many ways, personally and also as an artist. As an artist they have forced me to reflect upon my own work and to look beyond my comfort zone. As a project, V4T makes bridging of the gap between art and science a unique experience.
