Sophie van Leeuwen (1977) is journalist for (a.o.) RNW Media, France 24, and VPRO. She has been following developments in Francophone Africa for years and has published in both the local and international press, together with African colleagues. Sophie has also worked as correspondent in Brussels for BNR and RTL.
